I had a small vintage wool rug that I wanted to display on the wall but could not find a way to do that without harming the rug. Since it was handwoven, putting tacks or pins through it could damage the weft. Also, the rug doesn't lay uniformly flat and the borders are a little wavy - the pattern is geometric so both issues are pretty noticeable. This hanger solved all those little problems. The hanger clamps securely to the rug without damaging it, I was able to adjust the rug between the rails to mitigate the uneven borders and the rug hangs flatter as well.
